How Much is Paid?

Each participant staying in a double room will pay $4,350, each participant staying alone will pay $4,875, and children aged 08:00 – 11:99 staying with their parents in a double room will pay $2,600.

Optional Tour: Mountain Gorilla Observation Hike; $800 per participant

Tip: The safari guide driver should be charged $7.50 USD per person per day, totaling no less than $100 USD per vehicle.

For payments made in TRL, the calculation will be based on the CBRT effective selling rate on the transaction date +1.5%.

For payments made by credit card, a 3.5% bank credit card commission will be added to the TRL calculated amount, and a 3D secure payment link will be sent for the resulting amount. Although installment options are not available for tour payments, participants have the option to pay the remaining balance from the 20% advance payment they made upon registration in amounts and intervals they determine themselves. However, in any case, payment must be completed 21 days before the tour date.

Conditions and Important Information

Realization

This tour is organized with 12 participants. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notification date is 21 days before the start of the tour. You will be notified by our agency (via your agency) of any tour cancellation or postponement due to insufficient participation. Guests who register for the tour have the right to cancel free of charge up to 30 days before the departure date. If an airline ticket has been issued, the ticket price will be excluded and the airline ticket cancellation refund conditions will apply. A 30% deduction will be applied for cancellations made between 30 and 21 days before the tour date. No refund will be given for cancellations made 20 days or less before the tour date. Documents such as hospital reports, work leave certificates, etc., obtained from Turkish authorities and submitted by participants with their cancellation requests are not accepted by service providers outside of Turkey. Instead of cancellation due to insufficient participation, it is possible to conduct the tour with the existing participants with their approval, and this may require repricing.

Extra Tours and Other Details

Extra Tour: Mountain Gorilla Observation Hike; Early in the morning, you will go to the national park and receive information about the hike and what to do and what not to do. After a hike through the rainforest with diverse wildlife views, you will be allowed to take photos and learn more about the gorillas for an hour.

Accommodation hotels, transportation vehicles, restaurants and rest stops are selected to ensure the highest possible hygiene standards.

Tipping; The safari guide driver should be charged 7.50 USD per person per day, totaling at least 50 USD per vehicle.

For non-safari days, 5 USD per person per day is collected by the guide.

Single rooms have single beds. Double rooms may be provided subject to availability. In some hotels, if a room with two separate beds is not available, a room with a double bed may be provided. If a double bed is not available, a room with two separate beds may be provided. Some hotels may block a certain amount on your credit card during check-in for possible expenses. Reservations made at the hotels we use in our tours are group reservations, and breakfasts may be served in a separate hall for the group and may differ from the standard hotel breakfast.

In cases where only category information is given without specifying hotel names in the tour program and/or there are multiple options for the same destination, hotel(s) will be notified at least 48 hours before the departure of the trip. Child discounts are valid for one child (within the age group) staying with two adults.

Hotel standards in the countries/cities visited may be lower or different from Turkish hotel standards. Changes may be made to accommodation hotels depending on occupancy, provided they are of the same standard.

Air Transportation

Air transportation will be provided by Turkish Airlines' scheduled Istanbul-Entebbe-Istanbul flights.

Flights from Bwindi to Entebbe are operated by local airlines using small propeller or semi-jet engine aircraft.

Land Transportation

The tour will use open-top, specially manufactured safari vehicles suitable for the region's conditions. Vehicles with a capacity of seven seats will be used.

Visa and Passport

A passport valid for at least 6 months is mandatory for international travel. Travel is not possible with torn, worn, or similarly damaged passports. For entry and exit stamps at customs and border crossings, your passport must have at least 6 blank pages. Holders of ordinary passports will need an e-visa for Uganda.

Shopping

Unique souvenirs. Due to limited credit card usage, it is strongly recommended to carry cash. USD is widely accepted alongside local currencies.

Health

You should get a Yellow Fever vaccination at least ten days before traveling to Uganda and carry the vaccination card with you during your trip.

In addition, you should consult your doctor and start taking malaria medication a certain time before your trip and continue using this medication during your trip and for a certain period afterward.

You can use mosquito repellent lotions during your trip.

Apart from that, we don't expect you to encounter any health problems during lunch and dinner at hotels and local restaurants. We recommend that you do not drink tap water during your trip and always drink bottled water that you open for the first time.

Important Notes for Gorilla Trekking

Personal form for gorilla trekking: You should be in moderate fitness. Depending on the location of the gorillas, the trek can vary from 30 minutes to 6 hours. The terrain can be steep, muddy and slippery, especially during the rainy season.

How Long Does Gorilla Watching Last?: The trekking time can vary greatly, but the gorilla watching time is definitely 1 hour per permit.

What is the Social Structure and Behavior of Gorillas?: • Mountain gorillas live in family groups of 5-30 members. • Each group is led by a dominant silverback responsible for protection and leadership. • They are generally peaceful, intelligent, and maintain strong social bonds through care and vocalization.

What to bring for Gorilla Trekking:

Clothing; • Long-sleeved shirt and long pants (to protect against thorns and insects), • Sturdy waterproof hiking boots, • Raincoat or poncho (the weather can change quickly), • Gaiters or long socks (to protect against insects and mud)

Accessories: • Gloves (gardening gloves are useful - for gripping branches), • Hat and sunglasses, • Insect repellent, • Sunscreen, • Refillable water bottle/flask (carry at least 1.5 liters), • Snacks or energy bars. Equipment; • Walking stick (available from the briefing center), • Binoculars, • Camera with spare batteries and memory cards

Tip: Bring a waterproof bag or zippered pouch to protect your phone from rain and moisture; Stay 7 meters away from gorillas; Do not go on a hike if you are sick (to protect gorillas from human diseases).

Other Important Notes

Tours are a whole package including hotel, transportation, and services; they cannot be considered separately. Transportation, accommodation, sightseeing tours, etc., not used within the tour for various reasons are non-refundable. The agency is not responsible for tours that cannot be carried out due to adverse weather conditions before or during the tour. While the main elements in the tour program remain the same, changes may be made to the program order due to country conditions, transportation, and unforeseen circumstances. We recommend that you bring USD with you and carry small denominations. Please ensure that the USD you bring with you was printed after 2000. USD notes printed before 2000 cannot be exchanged or are exchanged at a low rate.

The social rules we must follow throughout our trip will ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey.

The weather in Uganda is consistently hot and humid, with variations during the rainy season.

Travelers with chronic illnesses or allergies should consult our agency regarding their travel arrangements.

The restaurants in our destinations offer local African and international cuisine. They offer menu options that heavily feature meat. Fruit and coffee are served instead of dessert after meals.

We recommend bringing easily removable clothing such as t-shirts, short and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, comfortable walking shoes, and a light jacket for the evenings. You can also bring a raincoat and umbrella in case of rain. In addition, you can bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs to protect against noise, a camera, a video camera, their chargers, and spare memory cards. For safaris, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing in colors that blend seamlessly with nature; avoid bright colors, light shades, and black.

Uganda has a 240-volt electrical current. The sockets are three rectangular prongs, similar to those in the UK. Before traveling, you should purchase a suitable converter and plug adapter to use your electrical appliances without problems. Tour participants are responsible for their own personal belongings, bags, and luggage. KanulaTur is not responsible for lost, forgotten, or stolen items. The costs of returning lost items to the country and/or the person are the responsibility of the owner. If guests under 18 are not accompanied by one or both of their parents, the necessary consent forms must be carried during the trip. Participants must also carry reports regarding any health issues, pregnancy status, or medications they are currently taking. We regret to inform you that if a roommate cannot be found for a double room 60 days prior to the trip, you will have to pay the single supplement or cancel the trip. COMPULSORY TRAVEL INSURANCE COVERAGE NUMBER 1618: Covers the agency's bankruptcy or the cancellation of package tour services for any reason.
