In this tour;

Yazılıkaya-Eskişehir (rock with inscription) is known for its Phrygian archaeological ruins and the inscription engraved on the rock, mentioning King Midas. These ancient ruins were also called the Midas Monument and were described as Midas' tomb.

Yazılıkaya is located 66 km south of Eskişehir and 51 km north of Afyonkarahisar.

Midas Monument: It is a facade carved into a high rock. The Midas Monument is an engraved façade, painting, apparently showing an acroterium pediment temple facade, covered with terracotta and with a central niche at the bottom.

On the walls of the niche there is graffiti with the inscription MATAR (Mother, goddess Kybele) and possibly a statue of Kybele on it.

Part of the inscription on the side says "FATHER" - advisor, leader, this niche is dedicated to him. The Midas inscription with ATES written on the cornice says "Fire dedicated this monument to Midas, the leader and ruler of the people." The monument shows that Ates, son of Arkias, was an ancient Phrygian offering to Midas and probably dates from the 7th or 6th century BC. This archaeological site was excavated by the French Archeology Institute just before and after the Second World War, and by the Eskişehir Museum in the 1990s.

Surp Yerrortutyun Church or Holy Trinity Armenian Church: It is a historical Armenian Apostolic Church located in Sivrihisar district. It has remained empty since the Armenian Crimea in 1915. It is known as the second largest church in Anatolia. Built in 1650 and damaged by fire in 1876, the church was rebuilt by architect Mintes Panoyat in 1881 during the reign of Patriarch Nerses Varjabedyan. It is a three-naved basilica and built on an upper rectangular plan. There is still an Armenian inscription above the ornate west entrance. The restoration project was started only in 2010. Most of the historic frescoes and decorations of the old church have disappeared.

The Great Temple of Cybele: Until the spread of Christianity, the great temple of the great mother goddess Kibele, who is the basis of religious belief and known as the birth of all beings on earth, is within the borders of Sivrihisar. Its history goes back to 3500 BC. As the city entered the spring, the Mother Goddess waited for the first lights of the morning behind Arayit Mountain, kneeling with the visitors to the great temple and opening her arms. In the spring, the resurgence of plants was celebrated and provocative melodies of wild music were heard.

The first excavations began in 1967 to reveal Pessinus. The studies are conducted by Gant University from Belgium. Temple, theater, bazaar, nemropol, marble water channels and some building foundations were unearthed. Among these structures belonging to the Hellenistic and Roman ages, only the ruins of the temple date back to the Phrygian civilization.

Kybele is an Anatolian mother goddess; Phrygia's only known goddess was probably her national god. Greek colonists in Anatolia adopted and adapted its Phrygian cult and spread it to mainland Greece and further west Greek colonies in the 6th century BC.

In Greece, Kybele has been associated with mountains, city and city walls, fertile nature and wild animals, especially lions.

In Rome, Kybele became known as Magna Mater ("Great Mother"). Roman mythographers reinvented him as a Trojan goddess and thus an ancestral goddess of the Roman people through the Trojan prince Aeneas. While Rome eventually established hegemony over the Mediterranean world, Romanized forms of the Kybele cults spread throughout the Roman empire.

It is possible to come across a Mother Goddess cult known by various theophoric names in many cultures and civilizations in history, around the Mediterranean, Asia and northern countries. Excavations in Anatolia revealed that the mother goddess figure dates back to 6500 - 7000 BC. The goddess, symbolizing maternity, reproduction, femininity, the continuation of life and thus fertility, is depicted as standing, sitting or lying down; His proper body is always the subject of depiction.

It is seen giving birth in some of the statues. Some sculptures sitting or at the time of birth have two leopards or lions next to them. The leopard, the sacred animal of the mother goddess, symbolizes her being the queen of animals and her unlimited domination over nature. Sometimes he carries Attis, who, according to various legends, is both the child and the lover of the goddess on his arms.

Ulu Mosque with 67 Tree Columns: One of the most important works in the district is the Ulu Mosque in the city center. Built in 1275 by Eminiddin-i Mikail, one of Mevlana's disciples, the building is one of Anatolia's largest wooden-pole mosques. The roof is supported by 67 wooden columns. The pulpit, which consists of a harmonious combination of various geometric shapes, is described as a masterpiece of art.

The Alemşah Cupola, which falls to the north of the Grand Mosque and built between 1327 and 1328 by Melik Shah for his brother Sultan Shah, the Hoskadem Mosque built by Necibiddin Mustafa's wife from the Anatolian Seljuks, and the Kurşunlu Mosque built by Sheikh Baba Yusuf in 1492. historical artifacts.

The City where Nasreddin Hodja was born; Sivrihisar is also the birthplace of Nasreddin Hodja, who is integrated with the city and who is the pride of the district. Nasreddin Hodja, the great philosopher of Turkish folk humor, was born in 1208 in Hortu Village of Sivrihisar. The name of the neighborhood was changed to Nasreddin Hodja in 1999. Hodja's house still exists here. The two-storey house can be visited by taking the key from the municipality. Hortu Village is 26 kilometers from Sivrihisar. A representative Nasreddin Hodja house was built in the neighborhood by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. This house is also open to the public.
